DESCRIPTION

Final Design

Flood control of the Helidonous stream from where it meets PATHE Motorway and along the upstream part of it to the Aristeidou str.

Main parts of design:

• Hydraulic adequacy control of the existing transit construction under the PATHE Motorway – Proposals for the improvement and rehabilitation of the existing urban stormwater network
• Construction of a new additional culvert under the PATHE Motorway by Pipe Jacking
• Construction of a new main collector along Helidonous str. from the junction with the motorway to the Aristeidou str. upstream

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

• Catchment area :~4,5 Km²
• Design flood for T = 50 years : ~45 m³/s
• Pipe Jacking :  D = 2,5 m, L~128 m
• Special construction for the flow division before it crosses the PATHE Motorway
• Stormwater collectors :
  • 5,50 x 2,00 m / L = 94 m
  • 3,00 x 2,00 m / L = 607 m
  • 2,50 x 2,00 m / L = 694 m
  • 2,00 x 1,50 m / L = 101 m
  • 1,50 x 1,50 m / L = 301 m
