DESCRIPTION

Final Design.

Design for the required works to connect the existing perimeter of Unit V antiflood protection ditch with Soulou stream and the storm water drainage of Lignite Yard with the provision of a twin sedimentation tank system of the Yard rainwater.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Lignite’s Yard Storm Water Drainage
- Western Drainage Ditch (ΔΤΑ) and Eastern Drainage Ditch (ΑΤΑ) with dimensions
  B x H = 2,00 x 1,50 m
- Sedimentation tanks Δ1 and Δ2 of trapezoidal cross section with slope 1:1, bottom plan dimensions 200,00 x 33,00 m, maximum water depth without overflow 3,00 m and total water volume 28,000 m³
Antiflood Protection Ditches
- Western Flood Trench (ΔAT) with a total length of ~1.250 m and dimensions B x H = 2,50 x 2,50 m and B x H = 2,50 x 3,00 m
- Eastern Flood Trench (AAT) with a total length of ~1.850 m and dimensions B x H = 2,50 x 2,50 m and B x H = 4,00 x 2,50 m
- Central Flood Trench (KAT) with a total length of ~830 m and dimensions B x H = 4,00 x 2,50 m
Outfall Area Works
- Special construction of height ~4,00 m for the connection of KAT with an existing culvert of dimensions B x H = 3,00 x 1,80 m
- Culvert of rectangular cross-section with dimensions B x H = 3,00 x 1,80 m, length 135 m and a slope of 1,71%
- Outfall construction which concerns a gradual construction of gabions, from the culvert’s outfall to the bottom of the Soulou stream, with a total length of 44,00 m
