DESCRIPTION
Modification of the Engineering Design of Civil Works for the Hydro-Pumped Storage layout
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The Hydro-Pumped Storage Layout includes:
Semi-οutdoor Power station, with two (2) variable speed Reversible Units and capacity of:
2 x 10,80 = 20,60 MW for turbine mode and
2 x 10,50 = 21 MW for pumping mode
Q = 21,6 m3/s for production mode
Q = 21 m3/s for pumping mode
Lower Reservoir is the existing reservoir of Potamoi Dam
Upper Reservoir is proposed to be constructed uphill, at the top of the right abutment of Potamoi Dam reservoir, indicative capacity of 1,2 x 106 m3
H = 423 m
Hard fill embankments A1 = 26.100 m3 and A2 = 36.800 m3
Vertical Inlet Structure of circular cross section steel pipe DN2500 and length L = 19 m
Inlet Penstock Tunnel with steel pipe DN2500 and length L = 250 m
Downstream of the Inlet Penstock Tunnel the connection to the Power Station is proposed with a Penstock DN2500, length L = 1.700 m, placed in a trapezoidal trench, a Penstock Shaft with length L = 70 m and a Penstock Tunnel with steel pipe DN2500 and length L = 230 m
