TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Installed power capacity P = 9,8 MW
Nominal flow Q = 3 x 9 = 27 m³/s from two water intakes (Rrapunit, Qarrishte)
Η ~42 m
Average production ~43 GWh / year
…
The project includes :
Rrapunit Water Intake:
Three (3) radial gates B x H = 12,00 x 8,00 m plus one B x H = 12,00 x 8,00 m radial gate with an B x H = 8,00 x 2,00 m flap
Earthfill dam H ~8 m, crest length ~173 m
Wide bridge over the radial gates L = 72,60 m, width = 7,00 m
Diaphragm wall of interlocking cement bentonite piles, DN800 mm/600 mm runs along the dam in order to prevent leakage of water downstream
Qarrishte Water Intake:
A shaft receives the outflow from HPP Rrapun 2 and leads them to a concrete pipe B x H = 2,00 x 2,50 m, L~118 m through a siphon B x H = 2,80 x 2,00 m under the river bed of Qarrishte
Concrete dam with two (2) radial gates B x H = 12,00 x 6,00 m, one of which with an B x H = 8,00 x 1,60 m flap gate
Single concrete box culvert with B x H = 2,00 x 2,50 m and B x H = 2,00 x 3,00 m (free flow conditions)
Single pipe B x H = 2,80 x 2,00 m (under pressure), L~480 m
Power Waterway System:
Single concrete box culvert B x H = 3,30 x 2,50 m (under pressure) carries the water from Rrapun intake for L~393 m
Twin concrete box culvert 2 x B x H = 2 x 2,80 x 2,50 m (under pressure), L~970 m
Tunnel B x H = 4,80 x 4,95 m, L~2,3 Km
Steel pipe DN2800, L~87 m
Circular surge tank D = 18 m, L = 11 m
Vertical steel pipe DN2200, H ~30 m connecting bottom of surge tank with the tunnel
Power plant 48,50 x 17,20 m, with three (3) Francis turbines
